Supplies
+ Light to medium-weight woven fabric with good drape, such as cotton, voile, chambray, linen, silk crepe, or rayon; we recommend our Brussels Washer linen/rayon
+ Different patterns often have different sizing measurements. For a perfect fit, please reference the Wiksten Shift size chart to calculate your yardage.
- 54" wide fabric (Long Dress with Waist Tie)
- S (0-6) = 3.25 yds
- M - L (8-22) = 3.5 yds
+ All-purpose sewing thread to match your chosen fabric
+ 1/4 yd fusible interfacing
For this pattern--and any other time you sew--you will also need a complete sewing kit. We stock the best sewing tools + supplies in the shop for your convenience:
- Dressmaker shears
- Snips
- Pins
- Pincushion
- Tailors chalk and/or water erasable fabric pen or pencil(s); the one you will need depends on the color + texture of your fabric(s)
- 18" transparent sewing ruler
- Seam ripper
- Handsewing needles
