Join LA-based Stace Fulwiler for her first sandal making workshop in New York!
In this workshop, you will explore every step of the sandal-making process: shaping your leather soles, attaching your heels, cutting out your straps and insoles, and fitting the sandal to your foot. Create your dream pair of handmade leather sandals while gaining the leather crafting knowledge and resources to make more at home!
Stace will bring an assortment of both basic leather colors and colorful leathers and suedes and at the end of the workshop she will bring your sandals back to her studio to refine the fit and finish the edges on her belt sander. Your completed sandals will be shipped back to you within a week.
The final sandals will feature a leather sole, 3/8" stacked leather heel, and leather upper. You'll also take home an outline of the sandal making process that includes "care and feeding" of your new sandals and a list of leather and shoe supply resources for future projects.
No experience necessary, but due to the special nature of this workshop and small class size the registration deadline is Tues, July 16.
