hey, makers!

sorry this newsletter is landing in your inbox a few days late. I've been hard at work on the online store (it should be launching soon!) AND lining up new and exciting classes for summer including silkscreening, textile printing and sandalmaking. stay tuned! I should have a follow-up email on its way to you before the end of the month.

great news from our special events department: there are still a few spots in author/designer megan nicolay's tee party friday may 16 (7-9pm.) she'll be demonstrating her trademark punk rock techniques for reconstructing old unloved t-shirts into wearable works of art with a pair of scissors, needle and thread in a combo workshop/book signing/social. note: all ages are welcome!

now onto this month's NEW classes and special appearances:
deborah stein of bonbonoiseau fame will be showing us how to make gorgeous necklaces and bracelets (5/14) and earrings (6/4). her work is de trop! definitely check out her site if you love jewelry (and who doesn't, right?) we also have laura mehlinger of lola haze hosting our first-ever panty-making workshops (thu 5/29, wed 6/25). how cool is that?

I've also added last-minute sessions in intro to sewing machine, zipper 101, simple tote, embroidery and a first-time ever curtain-making workshop! yay.

recently scheduled june offerings include soapmaking, decoupage, patternmaking, skip the tailor: simple alterations, intro to needlepoint with amy holbrook of amh design and beginning crochet wtih author/designer teva durham of loop-d-loop. all in all, there's lots to look forward to in the coming weeks.

here's a complete list of everything currently scheduled in date order; click on the link for more info as well as online registration:

last, but not least: I still have a practically brand-new industrial sewing machine for sale. it's perfect for sewing leather and/or a Project Runway-worthy designer, and has seriously only been used a few times, which is why I''ve finally decided to part with it. contact us and I'll send you the deets.

happy spring! we hope to see you in the make studio soon.

xoxo,
